Aging is realizing that good skin is your best accessory. When I meet someone, I always notice skin and makeup first, and then the outfit. If you take great care of yourself, it shows, and I want to know all of your beauty secrets :)
Maybe it’s an age thing? In the past, I would have noticed the outfit first! I am fascinated by what women do to maintain their youthfulness. And by that, I don’t mean get a facelift (that’s the easy option).
How can we preserve our youth without undergoing surgery?
I am a never-say-never gal, but right now I would like to say a facelift is not for me! I want to age, but I do want to do it gracefully. I don’t mind shaving a few years off my skin, here or there.
Recently, we were looking at old pics and videos, and the collective of the family was that I looked much OLDER 8 years ago than I do now. My eyes were hollow, and my skin looked dull. My skin is not giving “youthful” at all. I also was not taking great care of myself, didn’t have a skincare routine, and I was doing maybe 1 treatment a year. At the time, I was just 40!
2017-2018 vs 2025…
These pics were taken on Friday at the YSE event. Ignore the sunglass line on my nose :)
I am not going to say I haven’t aged, because I have. But, there is something different. My skin feels more bouncy and hydrated. I don’t feel as “sunken” in. My skin quality has vastly improved.
I have been receiving compliments lately on my skin, which, of course, makes me feel good! It means that all the things I've been doing are working! Since there is no gatekeeping here, I thought I would share with you guys what the last 2 years have looked like for me regarding my skincare, treatments and lifestyle changes!
