Rosacea is that B$T&*!
I had what I would say “unproblematic” skin my entire life until I hit my mid-40s.
Out of nowhere, my skin started to flare up red, with what looked like small zits, Or red bumps on my cheeks.
Upon some google searches, I realized I most likely had rosacea. According to the Mayo clinic, rosacea is a common skin condition that causes flushing or long-term redness on your face. It also may cause enlarged blood vessels and small, pus-filled bumps. Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, dermatitis or other skin problems. Apparently, this is most common in ages 30-50
And yes, Rosacea is that BITCH!!! Some symptoms may flare for weeks to months and then disappear for a while. There's no cure for rosacea. This was not the news I wanted to hear.
I went to a derm, who prescribed me azelaic acid + an oral antibiotic called Doxycycline. Neither of those things worked. I was starting to get very frustrated. Multiple derm visits, and meds weren’t helping at all.
