What is it about French women that is so alluring?
To me, it is their confidence, with an effortless, sexy, vibe. I always find French women timeless, and elevated; 2 adjectives I always strive for in my personal style!
A few weeks ago I visited a new store in Manhattan Beach (Manhattan Village Shopping Center) called Amour Vert. Immediately I knew this was MY PLACE. Their tag line is “French chic meets California cool.” This entire store was my jam. I tried on A LOT.
They are a company that is also focused on sustainability, which I find important in today’s world.
Via Amour Vert:
“Our sustainable practices address all aspects of our business operations and the full lifecycle of the garment: the fibers and production processes used, how workers are treated, how it gets to the consumer, and finally—whether it can be recycled or is forced into a landfill”
Their strength is tops; amazing cashmere, great knits, and tees. I also loved a lot of their outerwear options from casual to dressier options. I tried on some cute skirts as well. I do not need dresses, so I passed on those. But there were some nice work options. They also carry popular denim brands like Citizens of Humanity, and Agolde. They had a nice accessory selection as well. I found a cute pair of Le Specs and a handbag that you will see in EVERY pic. I took home the black “miniprism” one, and I am obsessed!
I think their pant fit is a little off, or at least it wasn’t hanging right on me. Here I am wearing a 2 and they were pulling a bit across the hips. I also found the sizing was not consistent across styles. I did love their styles though, they just weren’t as flattering as I woud have liked! I am a small waist/larger bottom half girl. I will keep trying though!
Overall, I loved their classic, timeless pieces. You can mix and match their clothing beautifully. If you are a capsule wardrobe girl, then you will love this store! I felt very chic and elevated in everything I tried on. I can’t wait to go back!
Here are some of my favorite pieces. Wearing a small in everything, pants sizes 2-4.
