Over Christmas 2 popular Tik Tok “personalities” did a Christmas haul with over 50,000 (or more) bags and luxury items. Quickly many people chimed in saying these were DH Gate dupes. It has created an uproar and a bigger conversation about the world of dupes.

At a time when luxury bags are at an all-time high, it is no surprise that the dupe market is exploding. Since 2019, Chanel bags have had a 100% increase, Prada leather an 88% increase, and Louis Vuitton Speedy a 45% increase. It’s INSANE!

In 2019, the US Birkin 25 price was $9,850. Today, the same bag now retails in US boutiques for $11,400, a 15.7% increase over five years. It’s a similar story with the Birkin 30, which has witnessed a price hike of 14.6% in the same time frame. (via pursebop.com)
