The highs and lows, and what I am bringing into 2026

I love the end of the year. It signifies closure. It forces me to pause. And it allows me to reflect on what worked, what didn’t work, what I want to do more of or less of in the new year.

I am not a “resolutions” gal. However, I do choose a word or theme each year. The theme this year was to find joy in small things, practice gratitude and appreciation for the daily “glimmers”, to laugh more, and believe in myself. While it wasn’t a totally conscious practice, I do feel that I achieved all of those things.

Things I learned about myself:

  • I can do hard things

  • I can speak my truth

  • I can no longer force or fake friendships

  • I need to set boundaries

  • I am enough
